Maine Arts Camp
...Much More Than An Arts Camp!
Maine Arts Camp Mission Statement:
To provide a non-competitive, caring environment in which children can
explore and enjoy a balance of fine and performing arts, enrichment activities and
individual/lifetime sports as part of a small, inclusive community.
Our approach to the camp experience:
We are a non-traditional camp geared toward bright and creative children and offering
no team sports. Campers create their own schedules, choosing from a wide variety
of activities. At Maine Arts Camp, we are committed to offering the highest quality
program, staff and facility. We welcome all children to join us and celebrate being
who they are.
Located on the beautiful campus of Unity
College in Unity, Maine, Maine Arts Camp offers 2 or 4 week sessions.
Camper ages range from 8-15. Our program is elective and has a variety of creative
activities, technology and enrichment along with individual sports. Campers choose
10 activities for each session (5 classes every other day). This enables them to
improve skills in current areas of interest and try new activities they might not
do at home. Maine Arts Camp is non-competitive, geared to each camper exploring
his or her interests.

Barbie, C. - Acton, MA
My eleven year old daughter attended Maine Arts Camp this past summer.
It was her first time away from home and we were all quite unsure what the result
would be. She LOVED it!! We were amazed with the quality of the classes she had
taken and how much she had learned. Her stained glass work was amazing, the dance
production was beautiful and the dramatic production was so professional. More importantly,
however, were the things she came home with that were not immediately evident. She
was so much more self-confident and so self-assured. She was so proud of herself
and her newfound courage. She made incredible, bonding friendships in such a short
period of time. It is incredible how much she grew in just a two week period. She
is counting down the days until it is time to return to camp. I cannot begin to
thank Candy and Rick and all of the counselors at Maine Arts Camp for what I truly
believe was a life changing experience for my daughter. I hope it will become a
long tradition for our family.
