Our visual arts program is under the direction of Marilyn Barry, who's been teaching
middle school art in Amherst, New Hampshire for over 35 years. Working with Marilyn
are other professional art educators, along with several college students (and recent
graduates) who are majoring in art education. Our camp setting and the first class
Unity College art facilities provide the ideal environment for these talented artists
to expand beyond their school curriculums as they inspire our campers in the following
activities: pottery, painting and drawing, still life painting, portraiture, vintage
fashion design, stained glass, metal jewelry, beading, enameling, sculpture, printmaking,
fabric arts and mask making.

Our technology activities allow campers to explore their creativity using hi tech
equipment. We offer robotics, digital photography, videography, and rocketry. These
classes are taught by a variety of talented instructors. In videography, campers
do projects such as creating music videos and narrative films; learning special
effects and editing using Final Cut Express. In digital photography, campers can
learn the basics as well as more advanced techniques. In robotics, campers use LEGO
Mindstorms kits as well as NXT for those with more experience.

days. For kayaking/canoeing, campers are on Unity Pond, less than a mile from the
main campus. Unity College also has many trails on their extensive campus for mountain/trail
riding. Yoga, fitness, martial arts and the rest of the sports are all taught by
our talented staff, with the emphasis on skill building and personal growth, rather
than competition.
