Bethany Queior
Head Girls' Counselor/Yoga
|
Bethany Queior was born and raised in southern Maine and loves working with children and teens. She's a recent graduate of Brandeis University, where she studied English, Sociology, and Peace and Conflict Studies. During college she also enjoyed the opportunity to live in Durban, South Africa, studying reconciliation. While there, Bethany identified a passion for conflict resolution. Since graduating she has worked for an organization that brings conflict resolution into education, coordinating peer mediation programs in the Somerville schools in Massachussetts. Bethany is thrilled to be returning to Bethel to continue to share another of her passions, yoga. In addition to her personal experience and her past summers teaching at Bethel Camp for the Arts, Bethany has been trained as a kids' yoga instructor through ChildLight Yoga. Having enjoyed years spent growing tall like a tree and flying like a crow, she looks forward to once again learning from the openness and joy that campers have shared as they practice yoga. Bethany fills her free time by singing, reading good books, exploring the woods, and knitting whenever yarn is in reach.
