Maryellen McCone, R.N., M.A.

Maryellen McCone, R.N., M.A. has been the Registered Nurse in the Health Service of the University of the South in Sewanee TN for 17 years.  She has had previous camp nursing experience at Camp Merriewood, a girls' camp in Sapphire, N.C.  In addition to her nursing experience, Maryellen received her Master's degree in Psychology and Counseling in 2008 and has a psychotherapy practice in Sewanee.  She grew up in New England but has resided on the Cumberland Plateau in TN for many years. Maryellen likes to stay in shape by running on the mountain and fills whatever time is left with reading, acting in local theater productions and traveling which she especially enjoys doing with her 24 year old son.  She is excited about returning for her second summer at Maine Arts Camp.
